Pumpkin Facial Masque
I love Fall. Beautiful colored leaves falling and delicious pumpkin to bake with! Hold some pumpkin back and make this facial masque with it.
You need about two tablespoons of pure pumpkin. I’m too lazy to carve, scoop and bake so I used canned pure pumpkin. Add a rounded teaspoon of plain greek style yogurt. Don’t use low fat stuff; use full fat yogurt. You need the yogurt because pure pumpkin doesn’t stick to the face well by itself. Don’t worry; the yogurt has amazing skin benefits as well.
Mix the pumpkin and yogurt. Apply to clean, dry face. Leave it on for up to 20 minutes. Rinse off well and pat dry.
My face felt amazing after this masque! My laugh lines around my eyes were lessened and even my dark circles weren’t as dark. My face had a healthy glow.
Pumpkin is full of Vitamin A. A is a huge hero in the fight against aging and acne. Pumpkin also has essential fats, Vitamin C and Vitamin E; all proven anti aging factors that also help reduce inflammation in acne or rosacea. And pumpkin has enzymes in it that act like a very gentle exfoliation, loosening the bonds that hold dead skin cells together.
The yogurt has lactic acid in it: another effective exfoliation factor that helps skin shed dead cells so it glows and is smooth. Lactic acid also reduces inflammation and acne and rosacea sufferers can get a lot of relief from using it on their skin.
