Help for Lip Lines
Lips. Lipstick, lip liner, lip gloss, lip balm.
Here are two secret weapons for preventing lip lines and for even improving them a bit if you have some forming.
One. Massage the lines above your lips. Massage them from the cupid’s bow at the center, outwards. Lip lines are contractions in the fine little muscles that have, over time, collapsed and fatigued the skin into forming creases. Relax those muscles and give the skin a chance to bounce back.
You can even put your thumb inside your mouth, in front of your teeth, and gently massage your upper lip from the inside with your thumb and the outside with your index finger. Again, work from the midpoint and outwards.
Two. Take it even further and apply a serum with Argireline in it. Also called Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 or 8, this is a derivative from the Peptide family and it’s proven to act like a topical muscle relaxant on the face. Do your massage over top of it. Do this massage routine before bedtime to help you wind down and relax before tucking in for the night.
